Mountain Fried Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
    2 onions, peeled and sliced
    4 slices bacon
    1 c. water
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp; remove and crumble. Fry potatoes and onion in drippings until lightly browned. Add salt, pepper and bacon. Pour in water to almost cover. Simmer 15 minutes or until tender. The water will cook away; when it does, the potatoes can be turned over to brown and crisp.
