Walnuts On The Ritz - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg whites
    2 cups sugar
    40 Ritz crackers
    2 cups walnuts
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 tbsp. rum
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 small Cool Whip
    1 large Cool Whip
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until stiff, gradually add sugar, vanilla, and baking powder. Roll crackers with rolling pin, but not until they are powdered. Fold in crackers and walnuts. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Spread small carton Cool Whip on top while hot. When cool, spread with large carton of Cool Whip. Refrigerate overnight covered.
