Oatmeal Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. cornmeal
    1 tsp. salt
    5 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 c. quick oatmeal
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift flour, cornmeal, salt, baking powder and sugar.
    Add oatmeal, then add beaten egg, melted shortening and milk.
    Bake in a greased loaf pan (large) at 350\u00b0 for about 45 minutes.
    Insert toothpick in center to see if done.
    If not, lower to 300\u00b0 to complete baking cycle.
