Cabbage Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage, chopped fairly fine
    2 medium carrots, chopped fine
    1 bell pepper, chopped fine
    1 small onion, chopped fine
    1/2 c. vinegar
    2/3 c. vegetable oil
    2/3 to 3/4 c. sugar
    2 tsp. or less salt
Preparation
    Toss all vegetables together in a large mixing bowl.
    Combine the vinegar, oil, sugar and salt together in a saucepan.
    Bring to a boil and cook for 2 or 3 minutes.
    Pour hot over the vegetables and mix well.
    Cover and refrigerate.
    Keeps well.
