Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 to 1 lb. ground beef
    1 large green pepper, chopped
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 c. sweet milk
    1/4 c. or less cooking oil
    1 large chopped onion
    1/2 lb. mild Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 c. creamed corn
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Brown ground beef with onion and pepper.
    Drain off fat.
    Mix cornmeal, eggs, soda, salt, milk and oil.
    Grease 1 large iron skillet.
    Pour 1/2 of cornmeal mixture into skillet.
    Add ground beef mixture.
    Cover with grated cheese.
    Add rest of cornmeal mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
