Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. raw peanuts
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. baking soda
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Cook
    water,
    syrup,
    sugar
    and
    butter together until syrup threads.
    Add
    nuts and cook at a high temperature until peanuts pop
    and syrup turns golden brown.
    Take off stove and add baking soda,
    stirring
    well.
    Pour
    on
    a greased cookie sheet.
    Cool and press on bottom of the sheet to loosen.
