Strawberry Chantilly Torte Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (18.5 oz.) pkg. white cake mix
    1 (15.4 oz.) pkg. creamy white frosting mix
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 tsp. milk
    1 tsp. almond extract
    1 pt. strawberries
Preparation
    Bake cake in 2 (8 or 9 x 1 1/2-inch) layer pans as directed on package.
    Cool; split to make 4 layers.
    In small mixer bowl, beat frosting mix (dry), cream cheese, milk and almond extract until smooth.
    Slice strawberries lengthwise, reserving 1/2 cup of the outer for top layer.
    Stack layers, spreading each with about 1/2 cup frosting and about 1/2 cup strawberries.
    Place reserved strawberry slices, cut side down, on top layer.
    Chill at least 1 hour before serving because of the cream cheese (refrigerate leftover cake).
