Shrimp South Louisiana - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. plus 1 Tbsp. Crisco shortening
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 large onion, chopped
6 green onions, chopped
1/4 c. chopped green bell pepper
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 can hot and spicy tomatoes (Ro-Tel)
1 can tomato sauce
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
salt and pepper
hot cooked rice
1 tsp. minced garlic
Preparation

Combine Crisco shortening and flour in large saucepan.
Cook and stir until dark brown.
Add onions, green onions, green pepper, celery and garlic.
Add tomatoes and tomato sauce.
Season with salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce.
Simmer 30 minutes. Add shrimp.
Cook 20 minutes.
Serve over rice.
