Chuck Wagon Cream Of Tomato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. tomato juice
    1 onion, sliced very thin
    2 oz. butter/margarine
    1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 qt. cold milk
Preparation
    Heat juice and onion to boiling for 10 minutes.
    Remove the onion.
    Melt butter; add to the flour.
    Add butter and flour to the juice.
    Cook until thick.
    Add seasonings; remove from heat. Beat in the cold milk.
    Heat but do not boil.
