Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift the first 4 ingredients.
Work in shortening as for biscuits.
Add enough milk to moisten.
Knead 1 minute and roll out about 1/2-inch thick.
Spread with berries.
Sprinkle with sugar and dot with butter.
Roll up and place in buttered baking dish. Boil 1 cup sugar, water and 2 tablespoons butter.
Add vanilla and pour while hot over roll.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 45 minutes or until done and syrup has thickened.
Serve with milk or ice cream.
