Potato Bargain - cooking recipe

Ingredients

6 or 8 slices salt pork
6 onions, sliced
potato, sliced salt and pepper

Preparation

Sounds like a full meal.
I wonder if Potato Bargain is a purely Cape Cod dish?
I have never eaten it anywhere else and it makes my mouth water just to write about it.
