Pickled Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    beets
    3 c. vinegar
    2 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cool and peel the jackets off the beets.
    Combine the vinegar, water, sugar and salt.
    Cook to boiling.
    Put beets in jars and pour hot syrup over them.
    Process about 15 minutes in hot water bath.
