Cottage Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. milk
    1 c. red raspberries, partially drained
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
    Cream shortening.
    Add sugar gradually.
    Beat in egg and vanilla.
    Add flour and milk alternately to shortening mixture, beating until smooth after each addition.
    Add raspberries and mix with a wooden spoon.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes.
    Cool.
    Serve with whipped cream.
