Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (1 oz.) bottles red food coloring
    3 Tbsp. Nestle Quik
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 1/4 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Mix the food coloring and Nestle Quik together and set aside. Cream the Crisco and sugar.
    Beat in the eggs. Add the coloring paste and beat a long time, until smooth.
    Combine the flour, salt and soda and sift 3 times.
    Mix the buttermilk with the vanilla. Alternate with flour and add to the first mixture.
    Add the vinegar and mix by hand.
    Bake in 3 layers at 350\u00b0 for about 25 minutes.
