Verba'S Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oats
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
6 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. milk
1 c. nuts
1 c. coconut

Preparation

In small bowl, pour 1 1/4 cups boiling water over oats.
Add 1 stick butter.
Cover and let stand 20 minutes.
In another bowl, combine 1 cup sugar, brown sugar, eggs, flour, soda, salt and spices.
Stir and add oatmeal mixture.
Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan for 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
