Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 to 2 c. applesauce
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 c. raisins, plumped in boiling water (optional)
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugars until fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with applesauce and vinegar.
    Fold in nuts and raisins.
