Abigail'S Soft Molasses Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter or oleo, softened
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 egg
    1/4 c. cold water
    1 c. light raisins
Preparation
    Sift first 5 ingredients together.
    Beat butter, sugar, molasses and egg until light and fluffy.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with cold water.
    Beat until blended.
    Stir in raisins.
    Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 3 inches apart on greased baking sheet.
