Cousin John'S Cajun Scampi - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 whole garlic onion
    1 1/4 lb. fresh shrimp
    3 medium onions or 3 bunches scallions
    Tabasco
Preparation
    Melt butter in a high-sided frying pan.
    Saute chopped onions and garlic, being careful not to brown them.
    When the garlic and onions are cooked, add the peeled, deveined shrimp.
    Add as much Tabasco as desired, 5 or 6 dashes.
    Cook shrimp for 4 to 5 minutes until pink.
    To serve, place frying pan on table with Italian or French bread.
    Dip bread in the butter sauce.
