Oatmeal Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. quick oatmeal
    1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
    1 egg
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. corn oil or melted shortening
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Soak oatmeal in sour milk 1 hour.
    Add egg and beat well. Add sugar and shortening.
    Add flour with salt, baking powder and soda.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Makes 1 dozen muffins.
