Oatmeal Caramel Chewies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. oatmeal
    1 1/2 c. flour
    3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. melted margarine
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1/4 c. flour
    1 (12.5) jar caramel ice cream topping
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Combine oats, flour, sugar, soda and salt.
    Mix well.
    Stir in margarine.
    Mix well.
    Reserve 1 cup.
    Press remaining mixture onto bottom of pan. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
    Cool 10 minutes.
    Top with nuts and chocolate chips.
    Mix caramel topping and 1/4 cup flour until smooth.
    Drizzle over chocolate pieces to within 1/2-inch of pan edge.
    Sprinkle with reserved mixture.
    Bake 18 to 22 minutes. Cool and chill until set.
