Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. fresh or canned mushrooms, sliced
    1 large onion
    1/4 c. butter
    2 lb. round steak
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    2 c. bouillon or consomme
    1 c. sour cream (light can be used)
Preparation
    Saute onion and mushrooms in 2 tablespoons butter and remove from pan.
    Cut meat into strips 2 1/2 inches long and 3/4 inch wide.
    Melt additional 2 tablespoons butter in pan.
    Toss strips in flour, coating thoroughly.
    Brown meat in butter.
    Add salt and bouillon.
    Simmer, stirring occasionally until meat is tender, about 1 1/4 hours.
    Add mushrooms and onion and sour cream.
    Heat. Serve over noodles or rice.
