24 Hour Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1/2 c. green onions, chopped
    1/2 c. thin sliced celery
    1 can water chestnuts, drained, cut small
    1 small box frozen green peas (uncooked)
    1 pt. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Wash and drain lettuce; break into small pieces.
    Layer in order as listed and put in refrigerator for 24 hours.
    Will stay crisp 3-4 days.
