Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or soft shortening
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and sugar together. Add beaten egg.
    Sift the dry ingredients into the egg mixture. Stir the mixture.
    Cover the mixing bowl with a plate and put in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
    Preheat the oven to 400\u00b0.
    Break off a bit of the cold dough and roll into a ball.
    Roll each ball in the dish of cinnamon and sugar.
    Bake for 10 to 20 minutes.
