Strawberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. strawberry jello
    1 1/2 to 2 c. boiling water
    1 (10 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained (optional)
    3 to 4 bananas, mashed (optional)
    1 to 2 pkg. frozen strawberries
    1 c. sour cream or Cool Whip
    1/2 to 1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Dissolve jello in hot water.
    Add frozen strawberries and mix gently until thawed.
    Chill until slightly congealed.
    Add pineapple, nuts and bananas.
    Mix until well blended.
    Pour half of the mixture in mold or dish.
    Chill until firm. Spread sour cream or Cool Whip evenly, then remaining jello atop sour cream. Chill to congeal.
