Deluxe Double Pecan Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 eggs
    1 1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    6 Tbsp. butter, melted
    2 unbaked pie shells
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
    pecan halves (enough to cover tops of pies)*
Preparation
    *Note:
    One-half cup black walnuts may be added with the pecans, which makes it a deluxe pie.
