Mushroom Spread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. finely chopped mushrooms (food processor works best)
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. dry sherry
    1/2 tsp. dried thyme leaves
    8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
Preparation
    Saute mushrooms in butter or margarine.
    Add sherry and thyme. Cook 8 minutes or more or until almost dry.
    In food processor or blender, combine mushroom mixture with cream cheese.
    Process until smooth.
    Place into crock and refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
    Serve with crackers.
    Makes 1 1/2 cups.
