Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 medium onion, chopped
    4 large cooked potatoes, peeled and diced
    14 oz. can chicken broth
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. half and half
Preparation
    Saute onion with butter.
    Add remaining ingredients until potatoes are soft.
    Put into blender and blend until smooth. Return to pan and add half and half.
    Thoroughly heat.
    Put in soup bowls.
    Top with sour cream and chives.
