Baked Apples - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 large baking apples
1 c. sugar
3 c. water (part cider may be used)
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Before baking, apples may be filled with raisins and nuts or mincemeat.
Honey may be substituted for part of the sugar.
Place apples, which have been peeled 2/3 way down, in long baking dish. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
Add water.
Place in preheated 425\u00b0 oven and bake for 45 minutes.
Baste several times during baking and upon removing from oven.
Serve warm or cold.
