Hamburg-Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 onion, chopped
    2 to 3 c. tomato juice
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    2 1/2 to 3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    5 to 6 medium sliced potatoes
    sliced or grated cheese
Preparation
    Cook beef and onions in skillet until meat is browned.
    Drain grease off.
    Add juice, salt, pepper, oregano and sugar.
    Cook 2 minutes to blend flavors.
    Put sliced potatoes and meat mixture in layers in 9 x 13-inch pan, starting with meat mixture and ending with meat mixture.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until potatoes are tender.
    Remove cover and top with cheese.
    Allow cheese time to melt before serving.
