Kahlua - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 c. water
    7 c. sugar
    3 oz. instant coffee (Yuban, Folger's or a good Columbian coffee)
    1/5 Vodka
    pint brandy
    1/4 vanilla bean in each quart, 1/2 bean per 1/5
Preparation
    Place vanilla bean in jar.
    Boil water and then add sugar. Turn burner off and add other ingredients.
    Cool for 1 hour and then cork.
    Let settle for 30 days.
