Jan'S Kahlua(Makes Two 1-Quart Bottles) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 qt. vodka
3 c. water
1 vanilla bean
4 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. instant coffee

Preparation

Simmer water and sugar 10 minutes to dissolve.
Add coffee and cool.
Add vodka.
Place 1/2 vanilla bean in each of 2 (1 quart) bottles.
Pour mix in bottles.
Store in a dry place, shaking once a week, until done, 4 to 5 weeks.
