Mocha Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted cake flour
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. instant coffee
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    2/3 c. shortening
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
    2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
Preparation
    Sift together the cake flour, sugar, coffee, salt, cream of tartar and baking soda.
    In a large bowl, combine the shortening with the flour mixture.
    Add water and vanilla and mix until flour is dampened.
    Beat vigorously for 2 minutes.
    Add eggs and melted chocolate.
    Beat 1 minute longer.
    Pour into greased and lightly floured tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
    Can also be baked in a loaf pan for 65 to 70 minutes.
    Cool in pan about 10 minutes.
    Remove to wire rack and sift with confectioners sugar when completely cooled.
