Baked Celery - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. diced celery
    1/2 c. boiling water
    milk
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. chopped almonds
    1 (9 oz.) can chow mein noodles
Preparation
    Cook celery in saucepan for 10 minutes.
    Drain liquid in measuring cup and add milk to make 1 cup.
    Make a thin cream sauce by melting the butter, stirring in the flour, then blending in the celery liquid and milk.
    Cook, stirring until thickened and smooth.
    Add the salt.
    Place half the cooked celery in a buttered 2-quart casserole.
    Sprinkle with half the almonds and half the noodles.
    Add remainder of the celery, almonds and noodles.
    Pour the sauce over all.
    Sprinkle with paprika and bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Serves 6.
