Elbow Macaroni And Chopped Meat - cooking recipe

3 1/2 qt. salted water
3 c. macaroni
margarine or oil (for browning)
3/4 c. chopped meat
1 onion, finely chopped
1/2 c. red wine
1 c. beef stock
some tomato
salt and pepper to taste
1 Tbsp. mixed chopped herbs
Preparation

Bring salted water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook 8 to 11 minutes; drain.
Heat margarine or oil in frying pan.
Add chopped meat and stir until lightly browned. Add onion and finish browning. Add red wine, beef stock, tomato, salt and pepper. Cook, covered, about 15 minutes over low heat, uncovering towards end of cooking time in order to cook down the liquid. Add chopped herbs.
