Aromatic Yellow Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    long grain or basmati rice
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1 stick cinnamon
    3 bay leaves
    12 cardamon seeds
    water
Preparation
    Wash rice in several changes of water.
    Pour on fresh water and let soak for 1/2 hour. Drain.
    Place rice, salt, turmeric, cardamon, cinnamon and bay leaves in a heavy pot.
    Cover with 1-inch of water.
