Applesauce Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    3/4 c. applesauce
    2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
    Melt shortening.
    Mix with sugar; add beaten eggs and applesauce.
    Add applesauce mixture to dry ingredients; add nuts.
    Bake in greased muffin pans at 375\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
