Chinese Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 quarter-size crystallized ginger
    1 Tbsp. peanut oil
    1 Chinese cabbage
    1 pkg. fresh mushrooms
    1 c. cooked chicken
    1 1/2 qt. chicken broth
    coarse black pepper
Preparation
    Brown ginger in oil until brown.
    Remove ginger and discard. Wash and cut cabbage in 1-inch lengths.
    Add to oil with broth, mushrooms, chicken and black pepper. Cover.
    Bring to a boil and simmer 5 to 6 minutes.
    I like a lot of black pepper.
