Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. applesauce
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
1 egg
2 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. walnuts
2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. boiling water

Preparation

Dissolve soda in boiling water.
Cream shortening, sugar and egg.
Add applesauce, flour and spices.
Put soda in boiling water until dissolved.
Add to mix.
Add nuts and raisins.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
