Frozen Cranberry Velvet Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 cups fine vanilla wafer crumbs
    2 tbsp melted butter
    8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1/4 cup white sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 can whole cranberry sauce
    1 cup whipping cream
Preparation
    Combine crumbs and melted butter; press firmly into bottom of buttered 9-inch pie plate. Chill until firm. Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Combine whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla. Whip until thickened but not stiff. Gradually add to whipped cream cheese. Beat until smooth and creamy. Fold cranberry sauce into whipped mixture. Spoon into chilled crust. Freeze firm. Remove from freezer 10 minutes before serving. Top with additional whipped cream.
