Asparagus Goldenrod - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/4 c. flour
    2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 c. cottage cheese
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. fresh asparagus, cooked
    3 slices toast, cut in half
    3 hard-cooked eggs, chopped fine
Preparation
    To prepare asparagus:
    Snap tough ends off.
    Wash in warm water.
    Boil or steam 10 minutes.
