Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium chopped onion
2 c. (1 lb. can) kidney beans
2 c. (1 lb. can) cooked tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 Tbsp. fat
1 lb. ground beef
1 Tbsp. chili powder
3/4 tsp. Accent (optional)
1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Heat fat in large skillet having tight fitting cover.
Add onion; cook until transparent.
Add ground beef, breaking into small pieces.
Stir constantly until browned.
Add kidney beans, tomatoes (cut in pieces if whole) and spices.
Cayenne pepper may be hotter than desired, so starting with less than 1/8 teaspoon may be desirable.
Cover; simmer over low heat for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Serve hot with rolls or breadsticks. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
