Japanese Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar together.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift dry ingredients together and combine the two mixtures.
Fold raisins and nuts into mixture. Pour into layer pans and bake in slow oven (300\u00b0) for 1 hour or until cake leaves sides of pan.
