Cream Pie(Double For 2 Pies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. cornstarch
    1/3 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk, scalded
    3 eggs
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 baked shell or 1 graham cracker crust
Preparation
    Blend
    sugar,
    cornstarch and salt.
    Slowly stir in hot milk. Cook
    and
    stir over boiling water until mixture thickens.\tAdd 1/3
    of mixture to well beaten egg yolks, then stir egg yolks into custard.
    Stir and cook for 2 minutes.
    Remove from stove; cool.
    Add\tbutter\tand
    vanilla.
    Pour
    into pie shell.
    Cover with
    meringue.
    May also be served with sweetened whipped cream, adding a few drops of vanilla.
