Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening (part butter)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar, mixed with 2 Tbsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix the first 3 ingredients thoroughly.
    Sift together the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.
    Mix together until dough forms.
    Roll into balls the size of walnuts.
    Roll in sugar-cinnamon mixture.
    Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake until lightly browned, but still soft at 400\u00b0 (8 to 10 minutes).
