Amaretto - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 lemon peel
    1 fifth vodka or gin
    6 tsp. almond extract
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 tsp. chocolate flavoring
Preparation
    Simmer sugar, water and lemon peel 20 minutes.
    Remove from heat and allow to cool.
    Add vodka, almond, vanilla and chocolate flavoring.
    Remove lemon peel.
    Yields 1 1/2 fifths; cooled Amaretto can be poured into 2 bottles.
