Special Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. raw shelled peanuts
    1/2-inch sq. paraffin
    1 c. white corn syrup
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cook sugar, corn syrup and water to the soft ball stage.
    Add raw peanuts; stir all the time until the peanuts pop and mixture is golden brown.
    Remove from heat; stir in salt, soda and paraffin and quickly pour thin on buttered cookie sheet.
    Break into squares just before candy is cold.
