Hamburger Summer Sausage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. hamburger meat
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. mustard seed
3 Tbsp. Morton's Tender Quick salt
1 c. water
1/4 tsp. onion powder
2 Tbsp. liquid smoke
1/2 tsp. peppercorns (optional)
1/2 tsp. lemon pepper (optional)
2/3 tsp. red pepper (optional)
Preparation

Combine all ingredients, mixing well.
Shape into a roll 2 inches in diameter.
Wrap in foil, shiny side in.
Refrigerate for 24 hours or overnight.
Next day poke holes in the bottom of the foil with a toothpick.
Pour 1/2 inch of water in the bottom of a roaster pan.
Place about 3 lids (jar) in the bottom of this pan. Put the meat on the lids with the side with the holes on the bottom.
Bake for 90 minutes at 325\u00b0.
