Penuche - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c milk, scalded
    1 c white sugar
    1 c brown sugar
    1 t corn syrup
    pinch salt
    2 T butter
    1 t vanilla
    1 c broken nuts
Preparation
    Cook milk, sugars, corn syrup and salt until softball stage or 236 degrees. Remove from heat and add butter.
    Cool to lukewarm and add vanilla. Beat and add nuts.
