Amish Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. beef
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1 c. coffee (regular or decaffeinated)
    2 bay leaves, crumbled
    1 garlic clove, finely minced or 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 tsp. dried oregano
    2 onions, sliced
    additional coffee and soy sauce (as needed)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
    Heat oil in a heavy skillet over high heat, then sear meat on all sides.
