Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter, softened
1/3 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
pinch of salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. buttermilk or orange juice
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine dry ingredients.
Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, beating after each addition.
Add flavoring.
Spoon batter into a greased and floured tube pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 325\u00b0 and bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
